Permeable Root Barriers

Products: bioroot-barrier x

bioroot-barrier x offers all the benefits of being both flexible & permeable. In addition it works as a biological barrier. bioroot-barrier x has a copper foil layer firmly embedded in between 2 layers of geotextile. The copper releases an inert chemical trace to which roots are adverse. In essence the barrier sends a chemical signal to roots deflecting them away from the barrier. This barrier is truly multi purpose and suitable for most applications.

bioroot-barrier x has favourable characteristics for tree establishment. Where water and nutrient permeability is important, this barrier is the answer. Equally bioroot-barrier x inhibits root growth on the barrier face which is often problematic with conventional barriers (increased moisture levels cause root growth to become more prolific on a barrier face).

 
Knotweed will seek and exploit any weakness in root barrier construction. It is for this reason that bioroot-barrier x is seen to be a practical solution, acting as both a signal barrier inhibiting aggressive root growth, and as a physical barrier making it more able to withstand the rigours of a building site. When correctly installed bioroot-barrier x provides the highest level of protection against Japanese Knotweed. In most cases bioroot-barrier x negates the need for sandwiching a barrier between sand layers.
